Position 1: UAV Software Testers (3 positions)
Position Overview:
As part of ECSSEN Career School’s Summer 2025 drone technology initiative, the UAV Software testing technician Interns will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge drone programming technologies. This position focuses on developing innovative flight control systems and algorithms while contributing to the advancement of drone applications.
Key Responsibilities
Drone Programming and Development
· Learn and apply programming technologies specific to drone operations.
· Assist in developing flight control systems for individual drones and swarm flight algorithms.
Simulation and Testing
· Contribute to the design and creation of drone flight simulation programs to test and refine software solutions.
· Conduct application testing on drones to ensure functionality and reliability.
Collaboration and Innovation
· Work closely with the project team to brainstorm and implement innovative solutions for challenges.
· Document work processes and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
· Preferred Level of Education: Post-secondary
· Strong interest in programming, robotics, or aerospace technology.
· Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar is an asset.

Position 2: UAV Electronics Engineering Technicians (2 positions)
Position Overview:
As part of ECSSEN Career School’s Summer 2025 initiative, the UAV Electronics engineering technician Interns will gain practical experience in drone manufacturing and assembly. This position focuses on hands-on learning in 3D printing, hardware integration, and performance testing of drones, contributing to the advancement of innovative drone technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Drone Technology and Component Production
· Learn and apply the processes involved in drone manufacturing and assembly.
· Utilize 3D printing technology to design and produce essential drone components.
Hardware Assembly
· Complete the assembly of drone hardware, ensuring all parts are correctly integrated and functional.
· Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve assembly challenges.
Performance Testing
· Test assembled drones to ensure they meet established performance standards.
· Document testing results and provide feedback for hardware improvements.
Collaboration and Documentation
· Work closely with the project team to align hardware development with overall project goals.
· Maintain detailed records of assembly and testing processes for quality assurance.
Qualifications and Skills
· Preferred Level of Education: Post-secondary
· Interest in hardware engineering, robotics, or related fields.
· Basic understanding of mechanical assembly or 3D printing is an asset.

Position 3: Marketing Coordinator (1 position)
Position Overview:
This position will support the career development department’s marketing work and involve the ECSSEN Career School’s Summer 2025 drone technology initiative. The Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in promoting agricultural drone technologies. This position offers hands-on experience in marketing and strategy development while contributing to an innovative and impactful summer project.
Key Responsibilities
Department Marketing
· Collaborate with the project coordinator and marketing team in rebranding the department website.
· Assist in the department’s marketing through outreach efforts.
· Support in promotional materials design.
Market Research and Strategy Development
· Participate in conduct market research to identify trends, potential clients, and opportunities in the agricultural drone industry.
· Support the development of comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to the summer project’s target.
Content Creation and Campaign Support
· Create engaging promotional materials, including PowerPoint presentations, posters, and digital content for online platforms.
· Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns across various channels.
Client Communication
· Participate in initial client interactions to understand their needs and provide information about agricultural drone solutions.
· Support the whole project team in all audience-facing activities.
· Effectively convey key messages and materials to potential clients, ensuring clarity and engagement
Collaboration and Reporting
· Work closely with the project team to ensure alignment with the goals.
· Provide regular updates and reports on work progress and outcomes of assigned tasks.
Qualifications and Skills
· Preferred Level of Education: Post-secondary
· Strong interest or experience in marketing and web design.
· Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Fluency in Chinese would be considered an asset

Position 4: Call Center Operator –Chinese Emotional Support Hotline Listener (1 position)
Tasks and Responsibilities
· Answering phone calls of Chinese Emotional Support Hotline and listening to callers through their stress, anxiety and other concerns.
· Providing information and making referrals to community service agencies.
· Recognizing risk factors including, but not limited to, suicide, child safety, self-harm, and domestic violence, and addressing them with supervisors and crisis response services.
· Must be fluent in Chinese & English.

Position 5: Administrative Assistant(1 position)
Key Responsibilities
General Administrative Operations
· Provide administrative support to the Career Department Director and team, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking meeting minutes.
· Maintain organized records and databases for department files, including programs, volunteers, and event documentation.
· Handle department correspondence, including responding to inquiries and drafting communications.
· Track and manage department supplies and assist in budget tracking.
· Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures and streamline departmental policies and procedures.
Event Coordination
· Support the planning and execution of workshops, networking events, and other department initiatives.
· Coordinate event logistics such as booking venues, managing registrations, and arranging materials and equipment.
· Serve as a point of contact during events to ensure smooth operations.
· Assist with post-event evaluations, feedback collection, and reporting.
Program Support
· Assist in scheduling, marketing, and reporting for programs and workshops.
· Support program participants by providing timely responses to inquiries and facilitating program resources.
· Collaborate with the department team to ensure programs meet timelines and goals.
· Maintain accurate program data for reporting and funding purposes.
· Assist in the recruitment process, including advertising positions, reviewing applications, and scheduling interviews.
