We are hiring a total of 15 summer positions to work on a software application project including:

  1. Administrative Officer 1 position
  2. Digital Marketing Consultant 5 positions
  3. Software Developer 9 positions

Recruitment requirements:

  1. Between the ages of 15-30 years old.
  2. Citizen or PR, must be eligible for employment in Canada (international students are not eligible to apply).
  3. Must have a conscientious attitude, follow the work schedule and complete work on time.

 Salary and working period:

  • Salary: $15/hour
  • Full-time, working 35 hours per week
  • Working Period: 8 weeks between June 3, 202 – July 26, 2024

Position 1: Administrative Officer

Tasks and Responsibilities

  1. Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures and review, evaluate and implement new procedures.
  2. Establish work priorities, delegate work to office support staff, and ensure deadlines are met and procedures are followed.
  3. Carry out administrative activities associated with admissions to post-secondary educational institutions Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation.
  4. Co-ordinate and plan for office services, such as accommodation, relocations, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance and security services
  5. Conduct analyses and oversee administrative operations related to budgeting, contracting and project planning and management processes.
  6. Assist in preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls.
  7. Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence.
  8. May supervise records management technicians and related staff.

Position 2: Digital Marketing Consultant

Tasks and Responsibilities

  1. Assess characteristics of products or services to be promoted to determine marketing and advertising needs of an establishment
  2. Advise clients on marketing, advertising or sales promotion opportunities and strategies
  3. Develop strategies and related content for direct and digital marketing and advertising campaigns and implement them
  4. Manage post campaign analysis to measure and report on marketing and advertising metrics
  5. Develop and maintain social media accounts, including managing customer reviews and testimonials
  6. Develop, implement and evaluate public relations strategies and programs designed to inform clients, employees and the general public of initiatives and policies of businesses, governments and other organizations
  7. Conduct public opinion and attitude surveys to identify the interests and concerns of key groups served by their organization
  8. Prepare or oversee preparation of reports, briefs, bibliographies, speeches, presentations, Web sites and press releases
  9. Develop and organize workshops, meetings, ceremonies and other events and programs for publicity, fundraising and information purposes

Position 3: Software Developer

Tasks and Responsibilities

  1. Collect and document users’ requirements and develop logical and physical specifications.
  2. Research, evaluate and synthesize technical information to design, develop and test computer-based systems including mobile applications.
  3. Develop data, process and network models to optimize architecture and to evaluate the performance and reliability of designs.
  4. Plan, design and co-ordinate the development, installation, integration and operation of computer-based systems including mobile applications.
  5. Assess, test, troubleshoot, document, upgrade and develop maintenance procedures for operating systems, communications environments and applications software
  6. May lead and co-ordinate teams of information systems professionals in the development of software and integrated information systems, process control software and other embedded software control systems.
